Coir is a coarse, strong fiber taken from the husk of the coconut. It is used to make doormats, mattresses, rope and more recently mulch for the garden.

- It holds water, but also drains well.
- It can last up to three years in the garden.
I love this stuff! A relatively small brick, when moistened with water can fill a whole wheelbarrow with "peat". It works just as good, if not better, than regular peat. Talk about recycling - what would you do with the husk anyway? I think it is wonderful. Ginny
